Our Story

How it started…

Renaissance Foundation was established by CEO Sat Singh in 2009, motivated by his own challenges as a young patient and carer. The charity aims to bring hope to, and empower, young people in London facing difficulties. With a focus on creating moments of inspiration, opportunities to meet role models, and tailored personal development, Renaissance Foundation is committed to helping the next generation achieve their full potential. Over the years we have assisted hundreds of young carers and patients to pursue their dreams and overcome their personal challenges. Sat continues to spear-head our mission, inspiring us and seeking new ways to improve our programme.

The charity’s name was inspired by the cultural, intellectual, and artistic revival of the Renaissance period. The term "renaissance" means "rebirth," reflecting our belief in the potential for renewal in every young person, regardless of their background. From a single spark of inspiration, our young people can reach their full potential and embark on their positive journey to adulthood.
