CASE STUDY: Sony Grads Project
During summer 2021 we ran our largest fundraising campaign to date in conjunction with the Childhood Trust and the Big Give. The Big Give operates a match funding model which means as a charity, donations made during the campaign week have the chance to be doubled which is of huge benefit to us.
Ahead of this campaign we undertook a project with a group 15 Sony employees on the graduate programme to maximise the impact of this campaign and reach our fundraising target.
The group was allocated 2 full days to create reusable campaign assets and a brand style guide, up-skill our staff in terms of social media usage and our online prescience, and create a short appeal film. They had the opportunity to work closely with our staff team who were leading on the various projects, and presented their work to a panel of stakeholders from both Sony and Renaissance Foundation.
As a small staff team running a busy programme, we face multiple challenges due to limited staff time and money. This project had a direct impact, empowering Renaissance Foundation to run our most successful fundraising campaign to date and smashing our £100,000 target with an incredible £110,475 raised. The work will also have enduring value, providing a blueprint for future campaigns.
Our thanks to Sony for their support.
